I know you have to take it, but could you get out of taking that class and if you can, Do you think it will mess you up further on in the program with the other classes in computer science?
Is Calculus 2 required for Computer Science?
Although not required you should be able to do specific things such as integration and understanding the concept of integration. It also can come in handy when you are writing code to compute volumes or that deal with physics. I would say that you could get by without it as long as you are willing to look up certain topics and learn them on your own when needed. However, calculus is much easier to learn in a classroom setting then studying on your own.
