What kind and how much math in involved in computer science?
Computer science doesn't necessarily require mathematics but many of the concepts go hand-in-hand. You should feel very comfortable with algebra, logic, probability, combinatorics and trigonometry.

Other useful topics: linear algebra, statistics, matrices and vectors, etc. Calculus and physics are also a "nice to have"
Reply:i graduated from umass amherst. the requirements for a degree in compsci and math are so similar most people double major. Remember, the original computer science guys were math guys.

Math isn't that hard so don't get too discouraged. most colleges will offer plenty of resources like free tutors and professors office hours. make sure you take full advantage of that. as long as you put the time into it you will be fine in math.
