I'm trying to apply for computer science studies at University of Waterloo. I just wanted to know, is that really hard to get in there?
I've got all the required courses that I need and some extracurricular activities, including participation in UW math and cs stuff.
I'd really like to know any information about that . I also i saw that about 900 people applied for cs at UW and only 300 people got in :p.(2005) Does it mean, that it's really hard to get in ?
Than you in advance :D
Is it really hard to get in computer science at University of Waterloo ?-?
The concept of "really hard" is very subjective. Yes, 300 out of 900 is ~33%, but that's probably high compared to other universities (UIUC, Brown, Washington University, Duke, Indiana, etc). Computer science is highly competitive and only 25% of those that declare it as a major complete study in the field.
