IS not liking math and becoming a computer science major a bad idea?
Well, it's not a great idea.

If you want to increase your chances of succeeding in CS, then you should hit the math books more. You could do OK without doing well in math. But your chances of doing better in CS are better if you do well in math. You don't have to like math, but you should understand the concepts.
Reply:don't really see anything predetermined in it but why not try want you like . they also say find a job your love and you'll never have to work a day in your life .
Reply:you dont have to like it you just have to be good at it...just do whatever your best at

what are you best at hmmmm?
Reply:yes bad idea
Reply:Good idea. I did it. no problem finding jobs either.
Reply:Usually the two go together, but it isn't essential. I worked as a programmer/software engineer for 35 years and, although I majored in math, there is very little mathematics involved. The reason they go hand in hand has more to do with the fact that mathematical thought is very analytical as is computer science.
Reply:well i dont think it is. i mean u do ok in maths right? its not like u do bad. u can always improve IF u plan on pursuing in CS. okay? so start mastering ur maths now! lol

*cheers*
Reply:Yep, it is like a person wanting to become an airline pilot and being afraid of heights.
