Reply:There's no such thing as a 'best' really - it depends on what is important to you. Some places will have the best record for graduate careers, somewhere else will have the best research assessment (a guide to the academic quality of the department) and somewhere else will have the best student satisfaction rating.





When choosing, remember that it is a personal choice and that you are looking for the place that suits you best. Make sure that the course includes the things you are most interested in and gives you a chance to do some work experience if you want it. Make sure that you visit in person and see the facilities so that you know how well funded the place is. In my experience most people have a gut feeling when they find the right place - its no bad thing to look for a place where you believe you'll feel you belong and be happy.





If you want to look up some statistics and compare different courses, go to www.tqi.ac.uk - this is an independent government website where you can look up things like this. It gives you the raw data, and doesn't draw conclusions from it. Alternatively, you could look at the Sunday Times Guide to Higher Education, which gives an overview of every university in the UK and reviews the 'best' courses - in their opinion. Bear in mind that league tables vary, depending on what factors they are assessing.





At the end of the day, only you will know which is the best course for you.
